I know my last post was all about the party and I have nothing more to add except just two things.

1.

Blogland is a world of inspiration and I wanted to thank Sew Mama Sew  for the inspiration and tutorial (yay!) to make the scalloped bunting. I loved that it was a bit different to usual bunting and I was very happy with how it turned out.

2.

I have to rave about the cake stand I bought from Tracey Lau. If you're not familiar with her I suggest you acquaint yourself with her loveliness.

Not only is her blog beautiful and her party preparations gorgeous - but having done business with her recently - I have to say she is a really lovely person too. Her customer service is second to none and her excitement about the products she sells is contagious. She wants you to love your purchase as much as she loves the product. And I have to say - she doesn't disappoint.

Tracey recently started selling  cake stands. They are available as a square or round stand and I think they add a touch of class to any occasion - even if it just allows your cake to be seen a little better!

I love that you can add ribbon or anything else your heart desires - I'm thinking of threading mini bunting through the holes next time.

Just thought I'd share a little of the loveliness I found through blogging which inspired me while preparing for Isy's party.  x

More Inspiration

I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed by sleep deprivation recently. Anyone who knows me well knows that me without sleep...well, lets just say it isn't pretty.

When I recently received this little package in the mail from the inspiring Christie, it was just the lift I needed. I may not have alot of energy right now to create, but I do have time to sit with a cup of tea and swoon over these pages. It may even be just the inspiration I need to get me back into creating.

Thank you Christie for hosting this giveaway - I am wrapped to have been the lucky winner. As if reading your blog isn't inspiring enough, I've so enjoyed reading this book and planning my next creative adventure. x

Amy Karol inspiration

Look what I received from the postman today! My first online book purchase, full of crafty love and inspiration...with simple to understand instructions. Great for me, a beginner to this sewing gig.

Woodland Elf Hat
This book is packed with lots of lovely gift ideas and things to make for around the home or for my girls. I may even make myself a handbag...or two! I'm thinking this online book purchasing could be addictive, especially when the books that arrive at my door create such excitment within me. I can't wait to try out one of these projects, yet I can't choose which one to start with...

Scalloped Baby Blanket
I'll keep you posted on what I come up with. I'm hoping its sooner rather than later. The dishes can wait: Must. Sew. Now.
The Zip Pouch
